Your assessment answers, symptom and food logs, and profile are stored only on your device. We don't run accounts, and we don't collect or sell your personal information.
The short version: everything you enter stays on your phone. Nothing is sent to us. The only time your information leaves your device is when you choose to ask the AI a question - and then it goes directly to the AI provider you selected, using your own key, never through our servers.
This information is saved using your device's local storage and secure keychain. It is not transmitted to us and we have no way to see it.
The app can search a database of publicly posted, community-reported experiences from health communities. You can download this database to your device so searches run entirely offline. When searches run on your device, your search terms never leave your phone.
The AI feature is optional and turned off until you enable it. Before you can use it, the app shows a consent screen explaining exactly what will be shared, and you must agree.
When you ask the AI a question, the app sends your question along with relevant context - which may include your assessment results, symptom and food logs, and matching excerpts from the research database - directly to the AI provider you choose (for example Google Gemini, OpenAI, or Anthropic). This request uses the API key you entered and goes straight from your device to that provider. It does not pass through our servers.
Because your information is sent to a third-party AI provider, that provider's own privacy policy and terms apply to what you send. You can review those policies on the provider's website. You can disconnect the AI and remove your key at any time from the AI settings.
AI answers are not medical advice. They summarize anecdotal, community-reported experiences and can be wrong. Always consult a qualified healthcare professional before making health decisions.
SiboMate offers an optional Pro subscription and a one-time lifetime purchase. Purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store, and are managed on our behalf by RevenueCat, a subscription infrastructure provider.
To manage your subscription so it works across reinstalls, RevenueCat processes purchase records and receipt information along with an anonymous, randomly generated identifier. SiboMate is intended for adults and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
Because your data lives on your device, you can delete it at any time by clearing the app's data or uninstalling the app. If this policy changes, we will update the date at the top of this page. For any privacy question or request, contact us using the details below.

How do I use the AI? Open the AI tab, read and accept the consent screen, then choose a provider. Gemini offers a free API key; other providers may require a paid key. Paste your key once and start chatting. You can switch models any time from the bar at the bottom of the chat.
Is my data private? Yes. Everything you enter stays on your device. See the Privacy Policy above for the full detail on the one case where data leaves your phone (AI questions you choose to send).
How do I restore my purchase? Open the Pro screen and tap "Restore Purchases." Your purchase is tied to your Apple ID and will restore on any device signed in with that ID.
How do I cancel a subscription? Subscriptions are managed by Apple. Go to Settings → your name → Subscriptions on your iPhone to cancel. The lifetime option is a one-time purchase and does not renew.
